Dear John,
We need to report a problem. The help options you have do not correlate with our sense about the problem. There are too many options and inadequate context for aligning any particular option with the problem. This results in spending hours chasing down different threads that prove, or ultimately appear to be incorrect. You have a "pay for incident" call option, but that does not align with our objective to report a program defect. There should be a way to report a problem, get a problem number and be notified of someone who can be contacted to follow up.
Specifically, the problem is that Netscape is hanging for about 15 - 30 seconds aproximately every 10 or so clicks on a link. This has the appearance of a cache type problem, where some parameter is being exceeded, and so periodically requires time to clear more space. There is an FAQ on a Java related system hang. This does not fit that description, in that it is of relativley short duration and is cyclical. In other words, Netscape works fine, except for these periodic short-duration hands about 10 or so calls to a link.
Sincerely,
THE WELCH COMPANY
Rod Welch
