Dear Morris,
Following our telecon this morning on mouse and keyboard malfunctions. a Microsoft technician advised that the problem was likely caused by defective hardware. Later, a hardware technician examined CPU11 and reported no evident defects.
Can you comment on the record today further reporting that defects in W98 1st edition cause periodic mouse and keyboard failure, and that W98 2nd edition solves the problem.
Have you encountered this view, either from experience using W98 or through industry contacts, publications, etc. It seems strange that there would not be affirmative adjustments to correct malfunctions in order to avoid future occurrance.
Thanks.
Sincerely,
THE WELCH COMPANY
