Subject:   Avant Stellar Not Recognized by Computer

Rod,

[Repsponding to your letter shown below.... ]

If the keyboard did not work on either system, the keyboard itself may have a problem.

If you purchased this within the last 30 days, I would contact the place where you bought it to get them to replace it. If it has been longer than 30 dyas, let me know, and I will set up an RMA for repair.

Sincerely,

Creative Vision Technologies, Inc.

Subject:   Avant Stellar Not Recognized by Computer

Hi,

We just received a keyboard serial #7006510. We have a number of these Omni keyboards, now called an Avant Stellar. They all work fine on w2k, which is our current OS for all of our computers.

The computer for the new keyboard is an IBM type pc 1.4 GHz, 500 MB Ram, 46 GB disk, etc. We bought the new keyboard as a backup to one we have had for 5 or 6 years. Plugged it in and booted the computer, but got an error message.

Your manual says on page 14 to try programming the thing on a w95 system, so we got out an old notebook and connected to that, but it does not recognize the new keyboard either. We connected the old keyboard to the notebook and it works fine, so seems like there is something wrong with the new one, or else there is a procedure we need that is not evident to us in your manual.

Tried your website, but no luck.

Can you help.

Thanks.

Sincerely,

The Welch Company
