STANDARD LIMITED WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR HANKOOK TIRES

  1.  TIRES WARRANTED TO BE FREE OF DEFECTS IN WORMANSHIP AND MATERIAL CREDIT
      TOWARDS PURCHASE OF NEW TiRE. Hankook Tire America Corp. warrants that
      every new Hankook Tire or other brank tire manufactured by Hankook sold
      in the continental United States will be free of defects in workmanship
      and/or material.


      However, this warranty is limited to the following:  if a defect in
      workmanship and/or material appears in the tire under normal use and
      service at any time before a treadwear indicator appears showing that
      2/32 of an inch or less of tread remains (at which point the tire is
      considered to be worn out) and the tire is brought to any authorized
      Hankook tire dealer in the United States, the dealer will allow the
      purchaser a credit towards the purchase of a new Hankook brand tire. The
      amount of this credit will be determined by multiplying the then currernt
      selling plice for the tire (not including taxes) at the time and place of
      the adjustment by the percentage of original tread depth remaining on the
      tire.


  2.  PURCHASER REQUIRED TO PAY FOR DEALER SERVICES AND TAXES. The cost of
      mounting, balancing and all other charges by the dealer in connection
      with the replacement of the tire are required to be paid by the purchaser
      The purchaser is also required to pay all applicable Federal, State and
      Local taxes.

  3.  WHAT IS NOT COVERED.

      
Vandalism Run Flat
Commercial Use Collision Damage
Competitive Use (Racing) Premature or irregular wear
Conditions resulting from a) improper mounting, b) underinflation, c) imbalance of tire/wheel assembly, d) improper tire size, e) defect in vehicle, or f) abuse. Conditions resulting from road hazard such as a) snags, b) cuts, c) punctures. Ride complaints after the first 1/32 tread wear for passenger/light truck tires and 2/32 tread wear for medium truck tires. Tires Branded NA (Not Adjustable) or blemish Repairable Punctures. Ozone or weather checking on tires over four (4) years trom date of manufacture. 4. CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES EXCLUDED, HANKOOK TIRE AMERICA CORP, THE MANUFACTURER AND THE SELLING DEALER ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY SPECIAL INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTlAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITEO TO, LOSS OF TIME, LOSS OF PROFITS, INCONVENIENCE, LOSS OF USE OF THE VEHICLE OR COSTS ASSOCIATED THEREWITH. Some states do not allow the excluding of limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. 5. NO OTHER WARRANTIES MADE. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES BY HANKOOK TIRE AMERICA CORP., THE MANUFACTURER AND THE SELLING DEALER. ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OF FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THIS WRITTEN WARRANTY. Some states do not allow the excluding of limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. 6. OTHER LEGAL RIGHTS This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from''state to state. LIMITED FREE REPLACEMENT WARRANTY FOR PASSENGER RADIAL TIRES The Hankook steel-belted tires manufactured after Jan 1, 1994, are under an additional limited warranty protection as follows: 1. HANKOOK TIRE AMERICA CORP. WARRANTS TO THE ORIGINAL RETAIL PURCHASER OF HANKOOK BRAND STEEL BELTED RADIAL PASSENGER WIRES THE FOLLOWING: A. To be free from manufacturing and/or for material defects. B. Against non-repairable ROAD HAZAROS. Hankook Tire America Corp will replace FREE OF CHARGE to the original purchaser, Hankook Steel Belted Radial Passenger Tires Ventus, 515, 826, 827, 835, 845, 856, HKP880, excluding 825 and snow tires, rendered unserviceable during the first 12 months of ownership or the first 25% of usable tread depth, whichever comes first. If the above tire wears down to the tread wear indicators (2/32nds tread depth) within 48 months from the date of purchase or does not deliver the warranted miles of normal passenger use, whichever comes first, Hankook Tire America Corp. will make an allowance for unused service towards the purchase of new tire of the same size and type, pro-rated on warranted miles. The replacement allowance will be calculated by percentage of the warranted miles not received multiplied to the current selling price of the tire at the time and place of the adjustment. 2. CONDITIONS TO BE MET FOR WARRANTY TO APPLY A. The adjustment tire must be brought to an authorized Hankook dealer in the continental United States of America B. You must submit a copy of the original purchase receipt. C. For treadwear mileage warranty, warranty card must be completed and mailed to the Hankook Tire America Corp. for registration within thirty (30) days from the date of purchase. D. For treadwear mileage warranty you must also submit the warranty certificate including all the tire rotation data along with proof of the rotation service. 3. After the 12 months of ownership or the first 25% of usable tread depth for Ventus, 515, 826, 82Z, 835, 845, 856, HKP880, adjustments for manufacturing and/or material defects will be made under our "Standard Limited Warranty Terins and Conditions for Hankook Tires ". 4. OWNER'S OBLIGATION Tires must be rotated every 7,500 miles or sooner if upon inspection, irregular wear is beginning to appear. Keep a record of rotation in the TIRE ROTATION RECORD provided in this warranty. Service charges for required maintenance such as alignment or rotation are the responsiblity of the consumer
